About the Album

The History of Creation: The Past, The Present and The Future is an independently produced roots-reggae album by Jamaican recording artist Jimi D. Moving from origin and inheritance through modern pressure and toward renewal, the album brings together songs of resilience, identity, accountability, faith and hope.

The project combines Jamaican musical foundations with contributions from musicians across several countries. Live instrumentation, layered vocals, percussion, horns and narrative passages create a continuous journey while each song retains its own character.

The Making of the Album

Created without the infrastructure of a major label, the album was assembled musician by musician and song by song. Jimi D directed the arrangements and production across international sessions, bringing together established Jamaican players and independent musicians from around the world. The result is a personal album with an intentionally broad musical canvas and a consistent roots-reggae center.
